What I’m up to

eli day one

I adopted a dog.

Besides that I am working on cartoons.

Honestly I am at a crossroads. I’m not sure what I’ll do. Maybe I’ll write the great American novel. Maybe I’ll get another dog that’s small enough to ride in a tiny saddle on the first dog’s back.

If you want to follow behind the scenes stuff you can do that on twitter @mcgettigan_ or just come to this website (leonardcartoons.com) and read the twitter in the sidebar to the right. I post more frequently on twitter because it’s easier and also because I feel more comfortable posting unpublished work on it. I will often post an unfinished drawing with a rough caption to try stuff out.

Or you can just stick with the blog as I will be posting here as well.

Basically what I’m saying is that if you’re reading this you’re in on the ground floor.

Stay tuned and we’ll see what happens.

Ya gotta start somewhere. I’ve sent out submissions myself, though not of my cartoons… been trying to get some pinup or trading cart work. I’d especially love to get in on some of the sketch trading card inserts for various themed card sets that come out every year. I keep meaning to work on cleaning up and packaging my older comic strip episodes and make them available (if accepted) on Comixology or somewhere like that… but I can never find the time!
