That’s an illegal lift. You have to hook one bag on each finger and thumb and walk them all the way from the car to the kitchen counter to qualify. If you do not help put the groceries away, you are disqualified.

The answer to the question “how many can he lift” is, of course, “however many there are to be lifted.” Seriously… however many bags are in the car is exactly how many I will attempt to carry!

I got a perfect 10 once—lifted all 10 bags at once! But usually it’s something more like 2.8 or a 3.9. English translation—2 out of 8 bags or 3 out of 9 bags. 😀
